Lesław Rządziński

Vice President of the Foundation

Lesław Rządziński is Vice President of the Foundation for Heritage and Identity of Western Pomerania, a manager, economist, academic lecturer, cultural animator and effective organiser of social and artistic initiatives. His work combines management experience with a long-standing passion for folklore, folk dance and the cultural heritage of Western Pomerania.

He is a co-initiator of projects devoted to reconstructing the costumes, music and dances of Szczecin and Western Pomerania. Together with Ryszard Długopolski, he undertakes activities aimed at discovering and restoring memory of the traditions of former inhabitants of the region. These efforts have resulted, among other things, in reconstructions of historical costumes and the introduction of reconstructed Szczecin and Pomeranian dances into the repertoire of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Szczecin Region “Krąg”.

For many years he has been associated with the ensemble “Krąg” as a dancer, organiser and co-creator of artistic and educational projects. He takes part in preparing events, concerts and initiatives popularising folk culture. In his work, he emphasises that folklore is not a closed chapter of history, but a living language of community that can connect residents of the region regardless of origin or family experience.

Lesław Rządziński also has many years of experience in managing institutions and teams. He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Municipal Centre for Culture and Libraries in Dobra, where he is responsible for cultural activity, the development of local initiatives and creating an offer that responds to residents’ needs. As a manager, he focuses on building cooperation, leading projects effectively and connecting the potential of institutions, organisations and local communities.

He is a lecturer associated with the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin and the West Pomeranian Business School. His academic and teaching interests include management, leadership, employee motivation, conflict management and organisational effectiveness. He is also a co-author of academic publications on outsourcing and the effectiveness of public institutions and universities.

Within the Foundation, he uses his organisational, managerial and academic competences to support projects devoted to the material and intangible heritage of Western Pomerania. He combines respect for history with a modern approach to cultural management, creating conditions for initiatives that engage residents, strengthen regional identity and restore forgotten traditions to their rightful place.

His activity is based on the conviction that regional culture can be not only an object of research and protection, but also a source of inspiration, integration and conscious shaping of the future of Western Pomerania.
